Trusted by hundreds of athletes, and here's why.

Built around your goals, schedule, training history, and experience — not pulled from a generic template. Your training is designed to fit your life, not take it over.

Every plan is created by an experienced endurance coach using real coaching principles and practical experience. No automated plans or one-size-fits-all programming.

No guesswork, but a training plan designed based on your history and goals in line with the scientific pillars of endurance sport development. Meaning you are getting the best opportunity possible to smash your target.

Life changes, training changes. Your plan is updated each month to reflect your progress, schedule, and current training needs. Plus, you can email as many times as you need.

Whether you’re training for a 5K, marathon, ultra, sportive, triathlon, or simply building consistency, your training is designed around the demands of your event and goals.

What makes a Breakaway plan different?

What Makes Breakaway Different
1
What makes Breakaway different
01 — Foundation

Grounded in the science of endurance

As a PhD student, I have spent years reading and writing extensively about the physiology of endurance performance. Every plan is built on evidence — not trends, not guesswork.

02 — Personalisation

Specific to you, calibrated to your history

Your plan is tailored to your goals — and built with your training history in mind. What you've done shapes what you'll do next, so nothing is generic.

03 — Support

Training that fits your life, not the other way round

Life happens. A human-first approach means your plan flexes around your real world — work, family, stress, and sleep. That's why every plan includes unlimited email support, so you're never on your own.

What do athletes say about Breakaway?

Jonathan's plans are amazing. My primary goal was to become as fit as possible to participate in the European Transplant Games in Oxford and regain my road race title and obtain the TT title as well.

I was shocked by the results, having in mind the short period, as I was able to improve my 10K PB by a couple of minutes and my half-marathon PB by almost 20 min.

This training program is, without a doubt, the BEST I've ever experienced. It was enjoyable, challenging, and led me to achieve a personal record in the half marathon distance after two decades.

It was simply great working with Jonathan through the plan. I am more than stoked that I achieved my first Ironman finish in 10:01:45h! His flexibility to adapt the plan to personal and business challenges makes it easy to keep focus and stay relaxed and convinced for the race day.

How does my plan get created?

1
The coach's process
Step 01

Understanding your goals and history

I start by carefully reviewing your questionnaire responses - your ambitions, injury history, lifestyle, and any constraints. This gives me the full picture of who you are as an athlete before I touch a single session.

Step 02

Assessing your current condition

I analyse your recent training history to understand your current fitness level, fatigue patterns, and any load imbalances - so the plan meets you exactly where you are, not where we hope you are.

Step 03

Building the overview plan

Working backwards from your main goal, I map out a long-range picture - identifying key phases, build cycles, and recovery blocks that will get you to the finish line in the best possible shape.

Step 04

Writing your monthly plan

I then translate that overview into a detailed monthly plan - calibrated to the right volume and load to keep you progressing consistently while protecting you from injury.

Your experience
Month 1

Receive your first plan

You receive a fully personalised training plan built around your life. Every session has a clear purpose, and the overall load is set to a level that challenges you - but keeps you healthy.

Each Month

Train with total clarity

No second-guessing what to do or why. Every session is laid out clearly - the work, the rest, the intention. You just show up and execute.

Ongoing

A new plan, every month

Each month you receive a fresh, updated plan that reflects your progress. The coach reviews how the previous block went before building the next one - so the plan evolves as you do.

The result

Consistent progress toward your goal

Month by month, block by block - the plan keeps moving you closer to your goal. Not in a straight line, but in the way your body actually adapts.

Most ‘personalised plans’ are based on 3 or 4 questions about you. This leaves out a lot about who you are. In the questionnaire, there are over 20 questions to help me design the perfect programme for you. Making this subscription truly personal.

There are two price options, the first is £59.99 per month, or you can pay £580 for a full year (appox 20% discount). A typical personalised plan can cost as much as £200 per month with limited email support.

Yes! You can get the first two weeks for free (and don’t worry, I won’t take your payment details unless you are 100% ready to continue).

There are a few differences between this subscription and the coaching Breakaway offers.

  • There is no data analysis included in the subscription
  • We don’t have weekly or monthly check-ins
  • You don’t receive feedback on your performance
  • You don’t get personalised nutrition strategies.

If the above things are features you are looking for, then the coaching service would be best for you. You can see details of this in the coaching tab.

No, you can stay as long as you love. But keep in mind the longer you stay, the more accurate the plan will become.

In this case, a personalised plan would be even more helpful to you. As the plan is designed to fit around what you can do. If you only have 5 hours a week, for example, it’s my job to make the most out of those 5 hours.
